Formed with some of the South West's finest jazz talent, Al Lloyd & His Orchestra was formed in 2022 for an EP 'A Moment In Time' which included a mix of string and horn led easy listening and was released by Warner X5/SoulMusic Records in November 2022 to critical acclaim. From here, the orchestra grew into a fully fledged, swinging, hard driving Big Band and included a host of talented soloists and top experienced musicians alongside upcoming stars of the jazz scene. The band recorded the album 'Mosaics' in the summer of 2023 which was released on WarnerX5/SoulMusic Records in October 2023. 9 tracks including originals penned by Lloyd as well his arrangements of everything from Jazz standards to Motown classics. The album was premiered at Fougou Jazz Club, Torbay early 2024.
